Harrington Defends US Senior Open Title in Style

The Irishman successfully defended his US Senior Open title at Scioto Country Club, producing a superb final-round 66 to finish on 12 under par and secure victory for the second year in a row.

It was another outstanding performance from Harrington, who delivered five birdies in six holes during his final round to take control of the championship. His experience, composure and quality under pressure proved the difference as he finished four shots clear of Stewart Cink, who was runner-up for the second consecutive year.

Ian Poulter also enjoyed an impressive debut in the event, finishing fourth after a strong final-round 67, while George McNeill claimed third place on six under.
