South African golfer Shaun Norris thrilled the home crowd with a remarkable victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, securing his second DP World Tour title. The tournament, held at the iconic Leopard Creek Country Club, saw Norris mount a dramatic comeback to claim the trophy by a single stroke.

A Spectacular Final Round

Despite starting the final day six shots behind the leader, Norris delivered an electrifying performance. His round included an eagle and five birdies, propelling him to the top of the leaderboard. A double-bogey on the seventh hole briefly threatened his charge, but his resilience shone through as he posted a clubhouse score of 13 under par.

The challenging closing holes at Leopard Creek lived up to their reputation, as several contenders faltered. Norris’ compatriot, Ryan van Velzen, had a chance to force a playoff but found the water on the 18th, settling for a bogey and leaving Norris with the title.

A Triumphant Year for Norris

This victory caps a stellar fortnight for Norris, who recently triumphed at the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup in Japan. Reflecting on his success, the 42-year-old expressed gratitude for overcoming a challenging year.

“Words can't describe winning a second DP World Tour title,” Norris said. “This last year has been very tough—up and down and all over the place. But thanks to God, my family, and my wife, we've kept it together. Winning two weeks ago in Japan and then this week—what a blessing.”

Other Top Performers

England’s John Parry, third-round leader Marcus Kinhult, and Van Velzen finished in a three-way tie for second place at 12 under par.
