Scottie Scheffler wins his first major championship, as Rory McIlroy finishes second at Augusta National.
Scheffler extended his lead as world No. 1 with a three-shot win in the year's first major; Rory McIlroy finished second after a round-of-the-day 64, while Tiger Woods concluded his competitive return with a final-round 78.
Scheffler will now aim for further major success in the PGA Championship, which will be contested at Southern Hills Country Club for the first time since Woods' triumph there in 2007, followed by the US Open, which will be held at The Country Club in Brookline from June 16-19.
The men's major season concludes with The 150th Open from July 14-17, with Woods announcing his intention to tee it up at St Andrews.
