Scott Jamieson Ends Long Wait with Nexo Championship Victory

The Scotsman started the final day two shots off the lead but delivered under pressure, closing with a five-under-par 67 to finish on 11 under for the tournament. That was enough to secure a two-shot win over England’s Matthew Jordan, with Andy Sullivan finishing in third place.

It was a hugely impressive performance from Jamieson, who mixed one bogey with six birdies during his final round. A strong run around the turn helped him move into contention before he took full advantage as the leaderboard changed dramatically on the back nine.

Overnight leader Shaun Norris had been in the mix for the title but his challenge was derailed after receiving a two-shot penalty during the final round. Norris was judged to have improved his stance after moving a divot from under his feet, turning what had been a par into a double bogey. He eventually finished tied seventh.

Jamieson stayed composed when it mattered most, making key birdies and then closing out the tournament with four steady pars to seal an emotional win on home soil.

The victory was his first DP World Tour title since December 2012 and a reminder of just how difficult it is to win at the highest level. Patience, resilience and the ability to stay focused under pressure all played a major part in his success.

For Scottish golf, it was a fantastic result and another great moment to celebrate. Jamieson’s win shows that persistence can pay off, even after years of near misses and hard work behind the scenes.

The DP World Tour now moves on to the Husqvarna British Masters at The Belfry, which also marks the start of qualification for the 2027 European Ryder Cup team.
