Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club

In the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, Sami Välimäki defeated past winner Jorge Campillo in a play-off, and Scott Jamieson secured his spot on the DP World Tour for next year with a final-round 69.

After trailing the leader of the third round, Campillo, Finland's Valimaki, made a seven-foot birdie putt at the 17th hole to take the lead. However, the tide turned in favour of Campillo, the 2020 winner, when the Spaniard birdied the last hole to tie his playing partner on 18 under par and force an extra hole.

Valimaki won a second DP World Tour championship with a cool-headed birdie putt on the first play-off hole.

"Unbelievable. It's hard to talk. It has been a long journey, it feels great," said Valimaki.
