Mexico Open: Following a close battle with Sami Valimaki on the final day, Jake Knapp wins his first PGA Tour event.

After his first victory in Mexico, Jake Knapp gains entrance into The Players, The Masters, The PGA Championship, and five more PGA Tour Signature Events; Sami Valimaki takes second, while Robert MacIntyre of Scotland is tied for sixth.

At Vidanta Vallarta, Knapp combined two birdies and two bogeys in his final round 71 to complete the week at 19 under, one shot ahead of Valimaki, who shot a two-under 69 to finish second.

Following final-round 65s, Scotland's Robert MacIntyre and C.T. Pan tied for third place on 14 under with Justin Lower, while Patrick Rodgers and MacIntyre shared sixth place with two-under 69s.
