Lucas Glover wins the FedEx St Jude Championship

To win the first round of the FedExCup Playoffs, Lucas Glover capitalised on his success at the Wyndham Championship; Glover and Patrick Cantlay both finished at 15 under par; Tommy Fleetwood and Rory McIlroy tied for third place, one stroke behind the leaders.

With an outstanding final round of 64 at six under par, Cantlay made a charge to catch overnight leader Glover, who had won the Wyndham Championship the week before. His round featured birdies on the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 10th, 15th, and 16th holes.

Glover dropped a shot on the 14th and lost the lead, but the 2009 US Open champion recovered and carded a one-under 69 to finish the tournament at 15 under par and tie Cantlay for first place. This forced the first round of the FedExCup Playoffs to sudden death.
