At Bonnyton Golf Club, we’re incredibly proud of the talented young golfers coming through our ranks, and none more so than Jimmy, who has been putting together a string of outstanding performances across some of Scotland’s most competitive junior golf events.

Here’s a roundup of Jimmy’s recent results, as shared by Dad - Stevie Middleton, highlighting just how bright the future is for this promising young player.

Stephen Gallacher Foundation Tour
  • SGF Dunbar 18-Hole Strokeplay
Jimmy finished an impressive 5th, showing great consistency in a strong field.
  • SGF Cawder 18-Hole Strokeplay
Jimmy took 1st place, coming out on top after a countback – a superb result!

Barrie Douglas Masters at Strathmore
This prestigious event featured the strongest under-18 field of the year so far, with 88 boys competing.
  • Jimmy finished T26th in the U18s and a strong 10th in the U16s, holding his own in an elite lineup.

Renfrewshire Golf Union – County Debut
Jimmy made his full debut for the Renfrewshire team, helping the side to a dominant 7.5 – 0.5 victory over Stirlingshire by winning his match convincingly. A fantastic way to begin his county career!

U.S. Kids European Championship
Described by Jimmy as one of his personal “majors,” this event draws an international field of top junior talent.
  • He finished an excellent T12th, showing real class and determination in a tournament he’s incredibly passionate about.

Junior Golf Tour Scotland – Tain & Royal Dornoch
Earlier this year, Jimmy competed in his first Junior Golf Tour Scotland event – considered the top-tier circuit for Scotland’s young golfers.
  • Over three rounds, including a challenging day at the iconic Royal Dornoch, Jimmy claimed 1st place in the U14s category, highlighted by a remarkable 80 off the back tees in high winds. A truly special performance.

Jimmy now looks ahead to his next set of “majors”:
  • Scottish Boys Under 16s
  • Scottish Boys Amateur
  • Scottish Under 14s
His recent form gives us every reason to believe more success is on the horizon.

From all of us at Bonnyton, well done Jimmy – we’re behind you all the way and can’t wait to see what’s next!
