Hero Dubai Desert Classic

Rory McIlroy, who began the season with a runner-up result at the Dubai Invitational before winning the Hero Dubai Desert Classic for a record-tying fourth time, will try to complete the career Grand Slam at The Masters in April.

Even though Rory McIlroy won his first tournament of 2024 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, he still feels that his game has to be improved before the major season.

After overcoming a 10-stroke deficit and shooting rounds of 63 and 70 over the final two days at Emirates GC, McIlroy pulled off the greatest weekend comeback of his career to win the event for a record fourth time. He finished one shot ahead of Adrian Meronk of Poland.

With his victory, the Northern Irishman moves up to the top of the Race to Dubai standings after finishing second at the Dubai Invitational the week before. McIlroy is eager to capitalise on a solid start to the year.

"I still feel like there's a few things I need to improve, but every week I play, I learn a little bit more, and hopefully I'll take the learnings from this week into the next few weeks and building up to the major season." Said Rory.
