Tommy Fleetwood continued his dream season with another sparkling performance, claiming a two-shot win at the inaugural DP World India Championship in New Delhi.
Fresh off his heroics in Europe’s Ryder Cup triumph just three weeks ago, Fleetwood showed his class once again, carding a superb final-round 65 to finish on 22-under-par, two clear of Japan’s Keita Nakajima.
The Englishman’s round included eight birdies and just one bogey, highlighted by a blistering run of four consecutive birdies from the 7th to the 10th holes that saw him surge into the lead.
Shane Lowry continued his solid form to finish tied for third on 18-under alongside Alex Fitzpatrick and Thriston Lawrence, while Viktor Hovland thrilled the crowds with a chip-in eagle at the last to secure a share of sixth. Rory McIlroy closed with a 71 to finish in a tie for 26th.
Speaking after his eighth DP World Tour title, Fleetwood shared a touching moment with his young son, Frankie, who joined him on the 18th green to celebrate.
“He told me recently that I’d never won a tournament where he could run onto the green at the end,” Fleetwood said. “That was in my mind all day – and to finally make that moment happen was really special.”
This marks Fleetwood’s first victory since the 2024 Dubai Invitational, capping off what’s been a standout season that’s seen him win the FedExCup and shine at the Ryder Cup.
Next up, the DP World Tour heads to South Korea for the Genesis Championship, where players will battle for the final playoff spots of the season.
