Kristoffer Reitan triumphed at the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final, securing his first world-ranked victory, while Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen topped the Road to Mallorca Rankings. Together with 20 other players, they have earned their DP World Tour cards for the 2025 season. Here’s a recap of who made the cut and who narrowly missed out.

Championship Highlights and Career-Defining Moments

The Challenge Tour Grand Final, held at Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca, served as the final stage for players vying for promotion. Reitan's impressive 23-under finish earned him a one-shot win, lifting him to seventh in the overall standings and marking his return to the DP World Tour after a six-year absence. Meanwhile, Neergaard-Petersen’s stellar season clinched him the top spot on the Road to Mallorca Rankings, guaranteeing him a spot on the DP World Tour.

The Top Finishers and Rising Stars

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and England’s John Parry, both with three wins each this season, had already secured their DP World Tour cards before the final. Finnish golfer Oliver Lindell finished the season in third, thanks to a remarkable streak of eight consecutive top-10 finishes, while Angel Ayora from Spain completed a strong debut season, securing fourth place. Other notable promotions include Hamish Brown of Denmark, Irish golfer Conor Purcell, Sweden’s Joakim Lagergren, and England’s Jack Senior.
Sweden’s Mikael Lindberg and Alexander Levy, a five-time DP World Tour champion, also clinched their spots, alongside Robin “Tiger” Williams from England and Björn Åkesson of Sweden. France’s Martin Couvra and England’s Brandon Robinson Thompson earned their first DP World Tour cards, while German Nicolai von Dellingshausen and former world top-50 player Lucas Bjerregaard from Denmark took the final two spots.

Heartbreak for Those Who Missed Out

The Grand Final didn’t end in celebration for everyone. England’s Jamie Rutherford missed the promotion cut-off by a single spot due to a final-hole lip-out, leaving him 23rd in the rankings. Denmark’s Nicolai Kristensen and England’s Frank Kennedy also finished just shy of the mark, ending the season in 28th and 30th positions respectively. Other experienced players like David Horsey, Rhys Enoch of Wales, and Scotsmen Euan Walker and Daniel Young will now look to Qualifying School as their last chance for 2025.

Last Chance: Qualifying School and Season-End Events

For those who missed out, the Final Stage of Qualifying School offers one more opportunity, running from November 8-13 at Infinitum Golf in Spain. The top 20 players in this event will earn DP World Tour cards, joining the field for the 2025 season’s kickoff later this month.

With their DP World Tour cards in hand, these players will now have the opportunity to compete against golf’s elite next season, bringing fresh talent and renewed energy to the tour.
