The 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) concluded in thrilling fashion as Carlota Ciganda claimed victory at the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de España presented by OYSHO. Held at Real Club Guadalhorce Golf, this win marked Ciganda’s eighth LET title and her second triumph at this event, with her first dating back to 2021.
A Nail-Biting Final Day
Starting the final round with a four-shot lead, the Spanish star faced early challenges with bogeys on two of her first three holes. Belgium's Manon De Roey surged, erasing Ciganda's overnight advantage by the fourth hole. However, Ciganda demonstrated her resilience, trading birdies with De Roey throughout the front nine.
The decisive moment came on the back nine. After recovering from a water hazard on the 10th hole, Ciganda birdied the 14th and 17th to secure a two-shot lead. Despite a bogey on the final hole, she clinched the win with a total of 18 under par.
"I’m very happy to win here in Spain in front of so many people and my family," Ciganda said. "It’s always special to play here. I fought hard, and I’m really proud of how I performed under pressure."
