Emergency Exit Doors Upgraded Thanks to AOE Windfarm Community Fund

We’re delighted to share that Bonnyton Golf Club has successfully completed the upgrade of two emergency exit doors in our clubhouse dining/lounge area, thanks to generous funding from the AOE Windfarm Community Fund.
This £2,000 grant enabled us to replace the outdated doors with modern, draught-proof, and more secure alternatives. Importantly, the new doors also improve accessibility, creating a safer and more inclusive emergency exit route for all our members and visitors — including those with disabilities.
These improvements are part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the clubhouse is welcoming, warm, and functional for all. Our facilities are increasingly being enjoyed by the local community — whether it's golfers, walkers, cyclists, or families stopping by for lunch, coffee, or just a friendly chat. The new doors help us maintain a comfortable environment, especially during the colder months.
We are grateful to the AOE Windfarm Community Fund for supporting this essential upgrade. Their contribution has had a direct impact on the safety, comfort, and inclusiveness of our clubhouse.

We’re proud to be part of the wider community and remain committed to providing access to golf for all ages — particularly encouraging junior participation through free coaching, school visits, and community events.
Thank you again to the AOE Windfarm Community Fund for helping us move forward with this important project.
