Viktor Hovland recorded a course record final round of 61, winning by two shots. Scottie Scheffler is currently leading the FedExCup standings after finishing tied for second with Matt Fitzpatrick.
In a thrilling final round at Olympia Fields Country Club, Hovland overcame a three-stroke deficit by making seven birdies in a back-nine 28 to break the course record with a remarkable nine-under 61.
The Norwegian closed the gap on Scheffler at the top of the FedExCup standings going into the Tour Championship by finishing the week on 17 under par, giving him his second PGA Tour victory of the year and sixth overall.
